Remember, Death Doesn't Only Leave Behind Sorrow. But…

23 April 2021 07:30 - indoposonline.net – In the midst of the pandemic still affecting Indonesian communities today, many of us remain worried about exposure to the virus. Although public knowledge of and care for the 3M health protocols has improved, the decline in transmission and deaths caused by the virus is still considered not yet optimal.

This means death is something very closely connected to people's lives in general. Yet many of us are still unaware of the impacts that arise with every death, especially for those left behind.

"Death is still a taboo subject to talk about in Indonesian society, especially within the family," said Riman Budiman, founder of Kamboja, in his official statement on Thursday (22/4).

So when "that day comes," it is precisely our loved ones who are left to bear all the arrangements and costs of the funeral. In big cities especially, the process and arrangements for a funeral can cost quite a lot, ranging from millions to hundreds of millions of rupiah. This can certainly add to the burden of those who are already overwhelmed by grief and loss.

"Every death leaves behind not only the burden of sorrow and grief alone, but also a physical and material burden for those who are left behind. Surely we cannot bear to see those we love, and who should be protected, become burdened after we are gone." he concluded, during the launch of the Kamboja platform.

Kamboja is a provider of planning, arrangement and funding services for funerals, offering complete funeral arrangement and management services, including their financing.

"It is a little frightening, indeed, to imagine our own death someday. But we should start to be more "open minded," independent and prepared. This is to protect everyone we love so they are freed from unimaginable burdens when we go before them."

There are many things that must be prepared when the time of mourning arrives. From transportation & handling of the body, burial/cremation location, coffin, tombstone, funeral home/mortuary, catering/refreshments for mourners, to administrative arrangements. With Kamboja, however, all of these can now be handled better together with professional partners experienced in their fields.

"When that day comes, it is our own responsibility to prepare everything, not theirs. So that only sweet memories remain engraved in their hearts when they think of us," he explained.

Kamboja is supported by a well-known Indonesian life insurance partner, Astra Life, in providing life protection for members, and is also supported by professional partners in the funeral sector such as the DKI Jakarta Funeral and Parks Agency, the Bandung City Funeral Agency, San Diego Hills Memorial Park, Mitra Medical Service, Akasha Ambulance, and hundreds of catering and florist partners spread across Indonesia.

"With fees ranging from IDR 35,000 to 80,000 per month, Kamboja is committed to helping its members achieve invaluable peace of mind by planning everything to ease the burden on their loved ones if "that day comes"," he said.

Kamboja members can choose one of several packages provided, offering benefits ranging from IDR 25 million to 100 million to be used for all funeral arrangement needs.

"Kamboja Funeral Protection serves Muslim and non-Muslim funeral arrangements, as well as cremation, and is ready to serve members throughout Indonesia, especially in Jabodetabek, Bandung and surrounding areas. Registration is also fairly quick and easy, requiring only a personal photo and e-KTP, and can be done digitally through the website www.kamboja.co.id," he explained. (mid/kar/srv)
